Most years, Nueva after-school enrichment is available to all San Francisco Bay Area K–8 students.
Taught by a mix of Nueva faculty and Bay Area specialists, Nueva Enrichment offers students the opportunity to take a deep dive into a specialized area of study. During enrichment, students are provided an opportunity to pursue an activity they are passionate about outside of school hours.
No previous experience is required to join any of Nueva's enrichment classes. We welcome both curious beginners and students with pre-established passions! Please note that all classes will run based on achieving sufficient enrollment.
This fall, all classes will be held online until further notice. Our classes are held Monday through Friday from 4:00–5:00pm.
Should classes resume on campus at some point this year, we will be required to limit participation to currently enrolled Nueva students. We will keep everyone updated about our plans.
We hope that everyone is staying safe. Our goal for our enrichment program is provide our students, and all of you, with fun options to explore big ideas and new skills. We are after all, life-long learners, even when times are tough.
We understand parents’ and students’ schedules are busy and can change from week to week. In order to better address our community’s needs, we have moved to offering four quarters of enrichment classes, ranging in length from six to ten weeks, rather than the twelve- to fifteen-week commitment of previous years. We made this shift both to provide more choice over the course of the year and align with our athletics seasons, allowing more students to join in the fun.
Our enrichment teachers are compensated on the number of students enrolled in each class. In order to run a class, classes must have a minimum number of students. While we may be able to offer some flexibility, we do not provide refunds after the second week of class.
