Upper School Basketball - Boys
The Nueva upper school boys' basketball program is open to boys in grades 9–12. The boys' basketball program currently offers three levels of play: varsity, junior varsity, and frosh/soph. Over the last few years, the boys' basketball program has asserted itself as one of the premier small-school programs, having won the 2018 Private School Athletic League championship and finishing as the 2018 CCS runner up. That year, following CCS, the boys' advanced to the quarterfinals of the northern section of the California State Tournament. Since 2018 and throughout, the boys basketball program has continued its strong play, resulting in good league finishes, with consistently deep runs in the CCS tournament.
The boys' basketball program includes a comprehensive summer program. Summer practices are held on select days throughout June and July, with the varsity team often competing in a nearby summer league. Official team practices begin in early November, with the season concluding around late February based on results in the CCS Tournament.
