Physical Education Program
Upper School
Upper school physical education supports Nueva’s core educational goals and helps students capture the social, emotional, and physical benefits of fitness and healthy competition, leading to lifelong enjoyment. Nueva hosts a variety of physical education classes and interscholastic sports every year. Our physical fitness program supports core educational goals and helps students. Any of the three following options fulfills each student's graduation requirement.
Middle School
The Middle school physical education program consists of individual and team-building activities that develop skills and confidence in a noncompetitive and nurturing environment. Classes emphasize lifelong fitness, sportsmanship, and risk-taking through a wide range of organized activities. Middle School students build endurance, flexibility, strength and agility through a variety of activities and sports: cooperative games, flag football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, badminton, table tennis, street hockey, paddle tennis/pickle ball, softball, and climbing.
