The college search process is a great gift. It is a time for self-reflection, planning, and dreaming. It is a time of great exploration like none other in a student's life. During this process, students take stock of their talents, experiences, and growth and begin to chart a new future.
Nueva's College Counseling Team comprises industry experts prepared to advise and guide Upper School students through the college decision-making process. We believe in helping students get to where they need to be, one step at a time.
Information for Colleges
Nueva opened its doors to gifted students in 1967, and in 2013 expanded our PreK–8 program to include high school students. Nueva students have a spark: an unmistakable passion for learning evident as they pursue self-directed, in-depth Quest projects, start clubs that match their interests (e.g., robotics, debate), and take college-level courses. They possess a boundless love of learning, collaborate effectively and joyfully, think outside the box and make connections across disciplines, and dive deeply and passionately into their interests.
Our curriculum is designed to be transformative, offering advanced academics, integrated studies, rich arts and athletic programs, and a focus on wellness.
Nueva is known for:
- Distinctive student-driven, inquiry-based interdisciplinary studies
