Nueva Parents
Association

The Nueva Parents’ Association (NPA) plays a vital role in supporting a dynamic learning environment for all students, cultivating a strong, values-driven community, and showing deep appreciation for the teachers and staff who educate and care for our children every day.

The Nueva parent community brings an extraordinary range of passion, expertise, creativity, and generosity. Through the NPA, parents come together to enrich student life, strengthen community connections, and support the school’s mission in meaningful ways. We invite you to share your interests, talents, and time by volunteering with the NPA.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering with the NPA is both impactful and flexible. Whether you have one hour or want to take on a larger leadership role, there are opportunities for everyone.

Parents support the community in many ways—from helping set up food and drinks for teachers and staff during parent-teacher conferences, to coordinating beloved schoolwide events such as MavFest, the Book Fair, the Humanities Fair, and Math Circle. By volunteering together, parents build relationships, learn from one another, and help create the welcoming, connected community that defines Nueva.

Many of the programs and events that shape the Nueva experience are powered by parent volunteers, recruited and supported by the NPA.

Leadership & Volunteer Opportunities

The NPA includes more than 100 leadership and volunteer roles, organized into five broad categories:

  • Event Chairs
  • Program Chairs
  • Schoolwide Leadership Roles
  • Division-Specific Leadership Roles
  • Non-NPA Volunteer Leadership (e.g., Intersession support, Nueva Fund engagement)

These roles vary widely in time commitment and responsibility, making it easy to find a position that aligns with your interests, availability, and experience.

How to Get Involved

All parents are encouraged to explore the opportunities and raise a hand, whether for a small role or a larger leadership position. The NPA thrives because parents step forward—bringing their time, ideas, and care for the community. Whether you’re new to Nueva or have been here for years, your involvement helps strengthen the school experience for all students.
