CN One Act Plays hero 1920pxNueva’s First Annual One-Act Play Festival showcased two dramas that were written, directed, acted, and produced entirely by students. Eleventh grader Justin S. and tenth grader Louis B. each wrote a play last year for their Quest projects, and then this year expanded their Quest projects to include staging their work.

CN USBasketballComesToCloseFor our first year as full members in Central Coast Section (CCS), our basketball teams achieved great results!

Our girls’ basketball team earned a #11 seed in the Division 5 playoffs and took on #6 Kirby in the second round, losing a hard-fought game on the road.  

USAthletics Feb2017Parents, coaches, fans, and classmates came together this week to celebrate senior members of the Varsity basketball and soccer teams. In their final home games of the regular season, senior athletes were honored during pre-game ceremony introductions, accompanied by parents and family members, and presented with flowers from the athletic department.

USathletics 02.03.2017Building off the momentum of highly successful fall and winter seasons, Nueva’s Upper School athletics program launches spring sports this week. Teams taking to the field include: Boys’ Tennis, Co-ed Track & Field, Girls’ Softball, and Boys’ Golf. Tennis will field both a Junior Varsity and Varsity squad for the first time this season, with close to 30 students participating. We are also excited to announce the new addition of co-ed Swimming & Diving to this spring’s line-up.

sensorPrototype COVERAfter returning from their trip to Costa Rica in 10th grade, US students Erik M. and Matthew M. saw an opportunity to help biologists and developed a prototype sensor to improve the labor-intensive process of collecting temperature data.
