MS Silk Road Culmination Dec2016

Every year in the Middle School, seventh and eighth grade students participate in culminations that celebrate student work and creativity and that highlight cross-disciplinary projects.


MS JV Girls Soccer Dec2016

The JV girls’ soccer team (MS) beat Sacred Heart 1-0 in near darkness on Monday night to clinch the West Bay Athletic League (WBAL) championship. Midway through the first half, sixth-grade striker Mia T. scored the winning goal with an assist by sixth-grade center midfielder Kayla H. The Nueva team, made up of fourth, fifth, and sixth graders, faced the league's sixth-grade teams in a division that included Sacred Heart Prep, Menlo, Harker, Castilleja, Girls Middle School, and Crystal Springs. This is Nueva's first girls’ soccer championship in the league.

Nueva’s seventh and eighth-grade elective students have the opportunity to explore their personal interests and newfound passions in preparation for the Arts and Electives Culmination.

MS Authors visitNoted children’s author and illustrator Raina Telgemeier spoke to Middle School students on Monday about her influences and inspirations and provided a detailed look into her work process.



FoodTruckStudent Council Co-President Ananya S. had a novel idea that would forge stronger community bonds and foster acts of kindness. She organized the inaugural Food Truck Friday celebration on the opening night of the school musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Brooklyn Pizzeria and Garden Creamery trucks were on the middle school campus open for all community members to enjoy together.
