The Nueva upper school girls soccer program is open to girls in grades 9-12. The girls soccer program currently offers one level of play, varsity. The Nueva girls soccer program utilizes nearby City of San Mateo parks for practice, while hosting most games at Cañada College and Nueva’s Hillsborough campus. Official team practices begin in early November, with the season concluding around late February based on results in the CCS Tournament.
Girls soccer summer practice sessions are offered annually, normally beginning in late June. Optional, though encouraged training sessions are held on select days throughout the months of June and July.
A team started by a group of passionate and committed students in 2017, played its first full season during the winter of the 2018-19 season. Earning a league championship in just its first year. The girls soccer program has continued to make an impact at the league and section level, earning three consecutive Private School Athletic League championships and four subsequent trips to the CCS tournament.
