Common Ground Speaker Series

Nueva is a founding member of the Common Ground Speaker Series, a parent education consortium comprised of 43 schools spanning the San Francisco Peninsula from Hillsborough to San Jose.

Each year, Common Ground features a slate of nationally-acclaimed speakers, topics, and special events, addressing a wide array of issues confronting parents and educators. Common Ground's aim is to provide a forum to learn from experts, share ideas with others, and support each other’s efforts to build strong families, engaging schools, and healthy communities.

Events take place primarily at member schools. Nueva community members are invited to all Common Ground Speaker Series events. Parents, faculty, and staff from Common Ground member schools are admitted to the events free of charge.

Parent to Parent: The NPA Connects to All

Parent socials, community dialogues, Common Ground Speaker Series, the Book Fair… so much is happening at Nueva. What’s it all about?

It’s the NPA, the Nueva Parents Association, hosting the many back-to-school offerings that connect and reconnect us.

Parent participation enriches the lives of our students, parents, faculty, and staff. One of the truly wonderful aspects of Nueva is the way parent participation is welcomed and intentionally weaves Nueva’s motto, Learn by Doing, Learn by Caring, throughout the supportive and inclusive culture.
