Thank you for your interest in Nueva! Through Ravenna, our online admissions system, you can sign up for events, fill out and submit application components, and monitor your application status. Don’t worry – by creating a profile for your student, you are not yet committing to apply; you will simply gain access to explore all of our events.

Registration is required for all Nueva events; please log into Ravenna to register. These events are for parents/guardians of prospective applicants to Nueva.

Virtual Program Preview

During this webinar, hosted in October, faculty and leadership will provide a glimpse into life at Nueva.

Virtual Office Hours

The Admissions Team hosts virtual office hours from September through December to answer general questions regarding the application process.

Additional Optional Events

Submit Family Information Form & Application Fee

Complete and submit the Family Information Form and the nonrefundable application fee of $100. In Ravenna, you can learn more about an application fee waiver for families applying for financial assistance.
Families are welcome to submit their child's IQ assessment results before submitting the Family Information Form. IQ assessment results must be within our target range to be considered for admission.

Complete Wechsler IQ Assessment

The Wechsler IQ assessment is one of the first steps in our application process. Please contact a licensed psychologist to schedule your child's IQ assessment. For your convenience, here is a list of licensed psychologists who administer these assessments in our area. This is not an exhaustive list; we accept reports from any licensed psychologists.
Review our IQ Assessment Guidelines for Families and send the signed Release Form and the Submissions Guidelines for Psychologists form to the administering psychologist.
A child's IQ assessment results must fall within our target range to be considered for admission. To learn more about the IQ assessment and our target range, visit our IQ Assessment (PreK–8) page.
Complete and submit the Application for IQ Assessment Financial Assistance Voucher if you'd like to request financial assistance for the IQ assessment. Make sure to submit the Family Information Form on Ravenna before applying for assistance. Vouchers are valid only for psychologists included on our Psychologist Resource List.

Submit Parent/Guardian Written Questionnaire

Complete Parent/Guardian Video Questionnaire (available in October)

Please note that this step will not appear before October, even if prerequisites listed below are completed earlier.
Kira is the platform we use to host the Parent/Guardian Video Questionnaire.
You’ll be asked to record short video responses to a few questions about your student and family. The system will guide you through each step, and you’ll have time to prepare before recording. You’re welcome to complete the questionnaire in one sitting or take breaks and return to it whenever it’s convenient for you.
Beginning in October, once you’ve completed the prerequisites listed below, the Parent/Guardian Video Questionnaire step will appear in Ravenna. That step includes a personalized link to complete the questionnaire in Kira.

Participate in an Activity Session (not required)

Activity Sessions are offered to a small number of applicants to grades 1–4. This is not a required step, and most applicants to these grades complete their application without one.
Once we’ve received some or all of the following steps listed below, we will review the application materials to determine whether an Activity Session would be a helpful next step. We encourage families to submit these materials by early November, if possible. That said, we will continue accepting all required materials through January 5, 2027.
- Family Information Form & application fee
- In-range IQ assessment results
- School transcripts
- Teacher evaluation forms
Please know that not participating in an Activity Session does not reflect negatively on your child's application.

Submit required supplemental materials

The following forms are required and must be completed and submitted through Ravenna directly by your child's current school:
- Confidential Common ISSFBA Student Evaluation Form
- Confidential Nueva Student Evaluation Form
- Transcripts:
  - 2025–26 grades, standardized test scores (that are a part of a student's cumulative file)
  - 2026–27 first trimester or first semester grades when they become available (usually late January)
Nueva considers only required application materials and evaluations, so we respectfully request no additional documents be submitted on behalf of a student or their family. Additional letters of support, including those from current Nueva community members, will not be added to a student's application.

Apply for Financial Assistance

Nueva uses the Clarity platform to process all applications for tuition financial assistance. The financial assistance application and supplemental documents are due February 3, 2027.
