A multitude of transportation options connect Nueva to communities throughout the Peninsula, San Francisco, and the greater Bay Area.
From regional buses and mass transit affordances, to carpooling and intercampus resources, getting to and from campus is a concern addressed in many ways at Nueva. Options are continually evolving to ensure timely, quality, and safe transportation for the entire community.
Caltrain Go Passes are made available to Upper School students and to faculty & staff based at the San Mateo Campus. Within a ten minute walk from campus, the Caltrain system provides easy access to campus from San Francisco to San Jose. Connections via BART, VTA, and Samtrans allow even further flexibility in transportation options for Nueva students.
The Nueva Extended Day Program is open to Nueva children in grades K-8. It is a safe and comfortable space designed to meet the needs of the whole child. Children can participate in a wide array of activities including Homework Club, Afterschool Enrichment, indoor and outdoor games, long-term child-directed project work, sports and athletics, and arts and crafts.
Teachers are available to provide focused homework support for K-8 Nueva students. We meet Monday-Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 pm in J211 and J212 on the Hillsborough Campus. Snacks are provided. Click here to login to the community portal and enroll in Homework Club online.

For special events, we will make overflow parking available at the San Mateo County Event Center parking lot next door. We will always notify you and provide directions as applicable.
Please call CYO at (650) 757-2110 if you will be late meeting your child at the bus stop. For safety reasons, a student's parent or guardian, or a previously designated adult caregiver, must be present to pick up a student at the drop off location in the afternoon or evening unless express written permission otherwise has been provided and acknowledged in advance.
When a student is not met at their bus stop, drivers are instructed to notify their central office, have parents called, and keep the student on the bus until the next bus stop. Students not met by the end of the route will be taken back to campus where they will need to wait to be picked up.
Yes, but both CYO and the school must still be notified.
The school will provide parents with a list of student riders and parent phone numbers upon request. Parents can use this list to build a support network with other riding families. If you prefer NOT to have your number listed on the contact sheet, please notify us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
