A multitude of transportation options connect Nueva to communities throughout the Peninsula, San Francisco, and the greater Bay Area.

From regional buses and mass transit affordances, to carpooling and intercampus resources, getting to and from campus is a concern addressed in many ways at Nueva. Options are continually evolving to ensure timely, quality, and safe transportation for the entire community.

I'm presenting at one of Nueva's Institutes. How do I get to campus from the airport?

To get to Hillsborough campus:
Follow signs for 380 West.
Take 380 West to 280 South and take the Trousdale Drive exit, approximately 3 miles south of the junction of highways 280 and 380.
At end of ramp, turn left onto Trousdale Drive and then right onto Skyline Boulevard.
After 1.6 miles, you will see Butternut Drive on your left. Nueva's entrance is less than a quarter mile farther, on the left.

To get to Bay Meadows campus:
Head south, and merge on to 101 South.
Take exit 414A for Hillsdale Blvd.
Take a slight right onto Franklin Parkway.
Turn right onto S. Delaware St.
Turn right onto E. 28th Ave. The school will be on your left.

Can I park on campus?

Faculty, staff, and visitors to the Bay Meadows campus should park only in Nueva’s onsite underground parking structure. Nueva has agreed not to use the limited street parking in the surrounding neighborhood meant for Park users and other residential guest parking. For special events, we will make overflow parking available at the San Mateo County Event Center parking lot next door. We will always notify you and provide directions as applicable.

What do I do if my Go Pass is missing or lost?

Caltrain will not replace a lost Go Pass sticker and instead requires us to buy a new one. We will inform you of the cost of a new sticker and provide a new Student ID and Go Pass if requested.

Will the CYO bus driver wait for my student(s) if they are late in the morning?

No, drivers are instructed to leave on time every day without exception. They need to get everyone else on the bus or in the car to school when they have committed to do so. Please aim to be at the pick-up location 5 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

What happens if I'm late to meeting my child at the afternoon bus stop?

Please call CYO at (650) 757-2110 if you will be late meeting your child at the bus stop. For safety reasons, a student's parent or guardian, or a previously designated adult caregiver, must be present to pick up a student at the drop off location in the afternoon or evening unless express written permission otherwise has been provided and acknowledged in advance.

When a student is not met at their bus stop, drivers are instructed to notify their central office, have parents called, and keep the student on the bus until the next bus stop. Students not met by the end of the route will be taken back to campus where they will need to wait to be picked up.

Can I ask another parent to meet and pick up my child from a bus stop?

Yes, but both CYO and the school must still be notified.

The school will provide parents with a list of student riders and parent phone numbers upon request. Parents can use this list to build a support network with other riding families. If you prefer NOT to have your number listed on the contact sheet, please notify us by emailing bus@nuevaschool.org.

What if the bus is late or my student is not on the bus I expected?

Call the school using one of the numbers below and we will assist you. If our receptionist is unavailable (which may be true before 7:30am and after 6pm), call the service provider directly.

Hillsborough Reception Desk: 650-350-4600
