Apply Online

Step 1: Create an account with Ravenna Solutions

Create a Ravenna Account to register for a tour, other admissions event, and/or to apply.

Step 2: Submit Part I & application fee of $90.

To be considered for a reduced application fee, please contact us at admissions@nuevaschool.org.

Note: We require that you submit Part I of the Application and the application fee prior to scheduling a campus visit.

Step 3: Schedule the Student Interview

The student interview is an opportunity for our faculty or admissions staff members to learn more about your child from their perspective. No preparation is needed for the interview.

Step 4: Schedule Parent/Guardian Interview, Activity Session, and Joint Writing Activity

Parent Guardian Interview

The Parent/Guardian Interview is an opportunity to meet with one of our Admissions Staff, ask any questions, and allow us to learn more about your child. Interviews typically range from 30-60 minutes.

Activity Session

The Activity Session is similar to a Nueva classroom setting. Students engage in a fun ice-breaker, followed by a creative and collaborative group project and presentation.

Note: Interviews and Activity Sessions are scheduled after Part I and II of the application have been submitted and reviewed by our Admissions Office. You are given a code to register.

Joint Writing Assessment

A group of peninsula schools 6-12 are working together to design a joint writing assessment. This will replace the SSAT/ISEE. This year, the SSAT/ISEE will be optional for Middle School (grades 6-8) and Upper School (9-12).

Step 5: Submit Upper School Application Part III – Student Information and My Page

Due by 5:00 pm, on the application deadline.

The My Page is an open-ended opportunity for your child to express their passions. Here is a quick how to guide.

Step 6: Submit the Required Supplemental Materials

Supplemental forms are due by 5:00 pm, on the application deadline:

Student Evaluation forms are completed and submitted to Nueva directly by the student's current teachers/counselor. Parents delegate evaluation forms through Ravenna. Teachers electronically submit forms through Ravenna.

  • Confidential English Teacher Recommendation Form
  • Confidential Math Teacher Recommendation Form
  • Confidential Principal or Counselor Recommendation Form
  • Transcript Request Form and Transcripts: We require the previous year's progress reports/grades, standardized test scores, and current grades when they become available. All materials should be uploaded to your student's Ravenna account.

This year, Nueva will not require submission of either the SSAT or ISEE test results. Submission of these results are completely optional and student/family choice. Please note, all students are required to complete the Joint Writing Assessment. Any SSAT/ISEE results that are received, will be seen as supplemental and will not be an essential component of the application review process.

  • Secondary School Admission Test - SSAT (Nueva's code is 5440)
  • Independent School Entrance Exam - ISEE (Nueva's code is 051176)

Note: We do not require IQ testing for the Upper School. However, previous evaluations and/or test scores may be submitted to our office via email at admissions@nuevaschool.org.

The Admissions Office is always delighted to receive applications
well in advance of the deadline!
