Lower School
Trips Program
At Nueva, our Lower School trips are an extension of what students learn in the classroom, offering hands-on experiences that embody our learn by doing, learn by caring ethos.
The Lower School trips program is a cornerstone of the Nueva learning experience, providing students with meaningful opportunities to explore the world beyond campus, strengthen social-emotional skills such as grit and empathy, and create lasting memories. From a first-grade on-campus overnight to increasingly adventurous journeys in the upper grades, each trip is thoughtfully integrated with classroom learning and homeroom preparation.
This May, students in first through fourth grades embarked on overnight adventures across the greater Bay Area. Our youngest students spent the night right on campus in the cozy Lower School Gathering Space, while second and third graders pitched tents at nearby campgrounds, immersing themselves in the natural world. Fourth graders headed up the coast to stay in cabins, where they engaged in a variety of action-packed, community-building activities.
