The warm glow from garlands of glass globe lights and the scent of hot chocolate welcomed attendees to the Fall Coffeehouse in the WRC on Friday evening. An intimate audience of 50–60 students, teachers, and parents settled into couches and armchairs to watch student and faculty acts that ranged from music performances to stand-up comedy, a play reading to taiko drumming. The night ended with a true open mic session, where audience members were invited to take to the stage.

The Upper School Coffeehouse was started last year by Jordan M. '21, Willow Y. '21, and Jason H. '20.

“We wanted to make space for people to share their creative talents with the community, especially in music and the arts," Jordan said.
