For Our Neighbors
On Friday, October 20, 2017, we are hosting the Innovative Learning Conference (ILC) at the Nueva School (www.nuevaILC.org) at our Hillsborough campus. We anticipate 1,000 attendees will join us for this day-long, multi-session conference. Registration begins at 7:30 am; the conference ends at 6:00 pm. We wanted to make you aware of the conference and to let you know that we have a traffic management plan in place to minimize the impact on our neighbors, including opening our sports field for additional parking and hiring a valet service to help manage and control the flow of traffic.
Since the conference’s inception in 2007, it has been an invaluable opportunity for parents and educators to hear internationally acclaimed experts, thought leaders, and practitioners reflect on the future of education. Given the challenges in education across our nation, and particularly in California, we are committed — as an institution that thrives on innovation in learning for full engagement of all students — to sharing these opportunities with schools across the greater Bay Area and across the nation. At our 2015 conference, teachers represented 60 percent of conference participants, and more than 50 financial aid scholarships were provided to educators who would not otherwise have been able to attend. We hope you will plan to attend this exciting event. Please register directly at www.nuevaILC.org.
In addition to ILC, we will host our traditional school events during this academic year and want you to know that we remain dedicated to managing traffic and parking in ways that honor our shared spaces. The links below provide you with our event schedules by campus, our contact information, and other valuable information.
We feel privileged and grateful to call Hillsborough and San Mateo our homes. Thank you to our wonderful neighbors and communities. We greatly appreciate the support and understanding of all our neighbors.
