Welcome to The Nueva School!
You are exploring a lower, middle, and upper school that embraces parent involvement in its very DNA -- offering almost unprecedented access and meaningful participation at every level of this diversified, vibrant learning community.
Families rise through Nueva together, engaged in activities that express their individual and collective passions. In the Lower School, parents are welcome as active participants in the classroom, bringing their special joy to academics, arts, and play. Parents join faculty in bringing serious expertise and geeky good humor in support of student creativity and applied design thinking at the interactive Nueva STEM Fair -- our school-wide, hands-on exploration of the sciences. The parent-organized biennial Innovative Learning Conference draws speakers and educators from around the world. Parents teach Academy and Intersession courses, run literature clubs, coach debate, direct plays, make cultural contributions from myriad traditions, delve deeply into community service, support athletics, share transformative as well as quietly reflective moments in the lives of their children at both campuses, and have even been known to bake a cupcake or two.
We invite you to engage! Somewhere in the spectrum of opportunities available to parents we are confident you will find intrinsically rewarding ways to participate in the extraordinary learning lives of your children at Nueva.
