CN BonfireOn May 12, the Nueva tenth graders headed over to Ocean Beach in San Francisco to celebrate the end of sophomore year with a bonfire. This tradition began with the first Nueva sophomore class in 2015, and has been kept alive by the Spirit and Social Clubs ever since.

Although heavy winds prevented their lighting an actual bonfire, it did not stop the grade from having a great time. They walked over to Golden Gate Park for pizza, soccer, football, and deconstructed s'mores. After the wind settled down, they went back to the beach in time to see a beautiful sunset. Here's what a few students had to say about bonfire night:

"This night will go down as one of the best moments of my sophomore year!" Grace W.

"I loved playing football and spending time with my friends." Max D.

"Going down to watch the sunset with my friends will go down as one of the most memorable moments of my time in high school so far." Sanam Y.
