CarnegieHallThis spring, two Nueva students, Ila and Emma, both eighth graders, are appearing at Carnegie Hall in New York, one because of her dedication to music, the other because of her passion for writing and art. Their interests may be very different, but they share a commitment to their respective arts and a devotion to pursuing it at the highest levels.

MathCountsOn Saturday, February 5 in Palo Alto, Nueva's MathCounts team took first place in the Northern California MathCounts competition. They move on to the statewide contest at Stanford on March 19. MathCounts  is a national math coaching  and competition program that promotes middle school mathematics achievement through grassroots involvement in every U.S. state and territory. Nationwide involvement totals more than 350,000 students from 7,500 junior high schools.
