MS Authors visitNoted children’s author and illustrator Raina Telgemeier spoke to Middle School students on Monday about her influences and inspirations and provided a detailed look into her work process.

 

 

FoodTruckStudent Council Co-President Ananya S. had a novel idea that would forge stronger community bonds and foster acts of kindness. She organized the inaugural Food Truck Friday celebration on the opening night of the school musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Brooklyn Pizzeria and Garden Creamery trucks were on the middle school campus open for all community members to enjoy together.

Todo Comic story 490pxOn December 9th, the Nueva School will dedicate a new outdoor space to Joey Kovacevich. Joey was a student in the class of 2022 who died of cancer in the summer of 2013. To honor his memory, Nueva has dedicated a new outdoor space to him near the Lower School.

politicalCampaignDuring Nueva's break for Yom Kippur, five Middle School eighth graders (Sian B., Grace H., Willow Y., Ana I., and Keelin M.) traveled to Las Vegas to volunteer for Hillary Clinton's Presidential Campaign. Why Las Vegas? As the largest city in a key swing state, Las Vegas is bustling with high-profile campaign activity (not to mention the final presidential debate) and extensive ground operations.
