Let’s congratulate these SA’s (Super Athletes)! As we head into the week before playoffs, all three volleyball teams are undefeated. Not only is this unprecedented in Nueva’s history, but for the first time in as long as anyone can remember, volleyball has grown in popularity so much that we have three teams competing.

Building on last year’s success, when the varsity team took second place, this year’s eighth graders are strong, dedicated, and talented.	Plan to come out and see one of these amazing teams in action! The Varsity team has two regular season home games left: next Wednesday, October 15th at 4pm, and Thursday, October 16th at 5pm.
Several of the girls played on club teams last spring and summer, and are leading the league with a flurry of well executed spikes, perfect passes, and flawless sets.	From there, they head to the playoffs on October 28th and 30th. Please check the calendar section of our website for the JV teams’ schedules.
The two Junior Varsity teams are headed for a precarious situation -- if they both maintain their undefeated records, they will likely face each other in the finals. And, believe it or not, the 5th/6th grade team will give the 7th grade team a run for their money!	In the meantime, if you pass any of these athletes on campus between classes, be sure to congratulate them!
