Wendy Lee Wins Award

Middle School Mandarin teacher Wendy Lee has been awarded a Magic Moments Fellowship for a Tour to China this summer. This is an opportunity for Wendy to learn from the experts on running and organizing a trip to China for our Mandarin Students. She will make contacts with Chinese educators, officials, and service providers.

With a Magic Moments Fellowship, teachers "learn to create life-changing cross-cultural experiences, connecting [their] students with counterparts in China to share interests and teach each other language, art, music and games. Two fellowships were offered this summer for teachers to learn how to conduct an educational China trip with his/her own students in the future."

Wendy is thrilled and can't wait to get to work on our 2011 trip!

The award is provided by The 1990 Institute, "a non-profit U.S. think tank and charitable service organization, focusing on China's Economic and Social Development - www.1990institute.org"
