The Nueva Extended Day program is open to all Nueva children in grades K-8. Designed to meet the needs of the whole child, it is a safe and comfortable place where children can participate in a wide range of activities. These include:
- long-term, child-directed project work
- teacher-supervised homework club
- sports in the Gymnasium Community Center
- indoor and outdoor games
- arts and crafts
- optional Enrichment Classes
- mini camps for February Break and Spring Break.
Of course, there is always time to just relax and play. Cozy spots are available to sit and read, chat with a friend, or just hang out. Students often help prepare the nutritious, yummy snacks that are provided every day.
Homework Club is a quiet place for focused homework support available to all grades. It meets Monday - Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 pm in J211 and J212. Snacks are provided. Click here to enroll in Homework Club online (requires log-in). To sign up or ask questions, please email .
Nueva also offers optional Enrichment Classes throughout the school year. These classes give students the opportunity to explore activities as diverse as baking, chess, dance, robotics, and more.
Extended day is offered during all school days and staff development days. The program operates from 7:30 to 8:20 am before school and from 3:30 to 6:00 pm after school on school days. Before Care, After Care, and Homework Club are billed to families at $11.00 per hour.
