IMG 6374Do you remember the first time you browsed the World Wide Web? Or when “Google” became a verb? Students entertained these questions during an assembly as they listened to alumnus Marc Weber speak about his work at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View.

dogvisitAlumna Christine Little (class of 2010) recently visited the Lower School with a guide dog she is training in conjunction with the organization Guide Dogs for the Blind. Christine and her guide-dog-in-training visited second and third grade students who learned about the process of training dogs to become guides for blind people. Christine’s dog January is the third guide dog she has trained since she chose guide dog training as her eighth grade Recital Project. The dog she is training now is part of her senior project at Menlo School where she will soon be graduating.

baymeadowstourConstruction continues at the site of the new Nueva Upper School campus at Bay Meadows in San Mateo. Alumni and alumni family donors had the opportunity to tour the facilities with the architect, seeing the impressive spaces and features first hand. The new building is set to open in the fall.

alumnusvisitoninternetAlumnus David Lewis (class of 1973) spoke to the Middle School about his work as the Executive Director of Save the Bay here in San Francisco. David also shared about his days as a Nueva student, enjoying and exploring nature during the first years the school was open.

stemfairNueva held its annual STEM Fair (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with many interactive exhibits ranging from make-your-own hot air balloons, to trebuchets flinging eggs, to bubbles, to farm animals.
