A Win-Win Partnership

Upper School students doing research in a laboratory

The Nueva Internship Program connects gifted, passionate students with Bay Area organizations for 1 to 12–week engagements, spanning the fields of technology, research, politics, medicine, publishing, fine arts and more. To ensure most effective placements, every student develops a Statement of Purpose that reflects their understanding of the organization's mission, a tangible proposal for contributing to that organization's success, as well as personal qualifications.

A Unique Talent Pool

Nueva students are creative, industrious, critical thinkers trained in design thinking methodology and social emotional learning. As interns, students arrive ready to develop empathy, collaborate, and work with a team.

Participating Organizations

Over 55 organizations are already involved, including ABC 7 (KGO-TV), Betabrand, Boosted Boards, California Academy of Sciences, Center for Childhood Creativity, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Playground Global, SF 49’ers, Smule, Soraa, Stanford, TaskRabbit, UC Berkeley, UCSF, Unicef, Yahoo, Wikimedia, and YMCA of San Francisco
